Reptile and Amphibian Keys

About the "Keys to the Amphibians and Reptiles of Colorado":

Updated January 2000.
Separate keys are provided for Amphibians, Turtles, Lizards, and Snakes. Using these keys, you can identify any unknown Colorado native animal based on its morphological differences. The keys are linked to the species tables in the Herpetological Microbiogeography.

Each key is a hypertext document; clicking on one choice from each pair presented will ultimately take you to the species name. Clicking on the species name will take you to a page in the Herpetological Microbiogeography which contains basic information and a description and photograph of the species, as well as a range map and table showing which Counties of Colorado it has been found in (indicated by a reference number), or is expected to be found (indicated by an asterisk).
